The first day was all about getting to know each other and setting up the project. The students were giving an introduction of the subject and participated in various ice breaking activities. To divide the subject among the groups the students had to read an article”Chickpeas, crickets and Chlorella: our future proteins” and had to answer questions about that article using the online tool quizizz.com.
The group who scored best in the quizizz had first pick among the subjects and so on.
The students will have the rest of the week to work on these subjects and deliver two outcomes at the end of the week. Outcome number one is an article for the magazine “Protein challenge” and the second outcome is a pitch to pupils of a primary school.
At the end of the day the whole group went out to the local ice rink for ice-skating and to have some fun together.
