Pavla Fritzenová, Czechia
I was standing at the airport. Nervous, but excited for what´s to come. Me and other seven Czech students waited for our foreign guests from Sweden, Croatia and the Netherlands who were also participants in Erasmus+ project FutEUre Food.
When I accidentally got into this amazing project, I had no idea how many great things I would learn. My Dutch exchange student Sara was so kind and patient with me. Thanks to her, I really enjoyed every day of our week.
On Monday we started working on our pitch and article. Our theme was Pollution of water sources. In the beginning, I knew nothing about this theme, but I was searching, testing water samples, enjoying whole process and at the end of week, I was full of new information about something which is so amazing and necessary as water.
But it wasn´t all about studying. We had a lot of fun too. We visited Prague Waterworks Museum and Czech University of Life Sciences, played bowling, went on a cruise on the Vltava river and walked around beautiful autumn Prague.
Friday was the day D. The primary school kids were about to come and listen to our work about our theme for 8 minutes. At the end we didn´t make it to the first place at pitch competition, but we did our best. However, our hard work paid off. Our team won the best article! I was so proud of us.
Whole week went by so quickly and at the end I was happy to be part of it. I´ve met amazing people, made new memories and stop being afraid of using another language. Thank you.
